The History behind The Little Red Shed Antiques
We, the owners of the Little Red Shed Antiques Shop are very proud of our long
association with Waynesville, Ohio, the Antiques Capital of the Mid-West. The
Little Red Shed was started, circa 1967, when Albert and Opal Stubbs established
an antiques shop located in a little red shed that they renovated in back of
their funeral home on North Main Street. On October 1, 1969, a partnership was
formed consisting of Opal and Albert, their daughter and son- in-law Yvonne
and Carl Bradstreet and their son and daughter-in-law Bill and Marilyn Stubbs.
On this date we relocated the Little Red Shed to 95 South Main Street and then
in 1972 we moved to our present location at 85 South Main in the building that
had once housed the Fairley Hardware Store.
When we moved the shop to Main Street in 1969 there were just three Antiques
shops in Waynesville, The Little Red Shed, Vi's Antiques owned by Vi and Ora
Jones and The Village Antiques owned by Frank and Lena Shull. Now many fine
antiques shops line the streets of Waynesville and outstanding specialty shops
and restaurants have joined them.
Please remember us when you have antiques to sell. We own
all the merchandise that you will find in the Little Red Shed. We take no
consignments not do we rent out any area of the shop. We will buy from one
item to an entire collection. We do not specialize in any one area but handle
a variety of antiques including pattern and cut glass, China , silver,
pottery, furniture, watches and jewelry, books and postcards, toys, old iron
and wooden primitives and many other items that are considered to be antiques.
We invite you to come to Waynesville, spend the day, and
enjoy our many shops and restaurants.
